The Myer Stores Community Fund is dedicated to supporting innovative projects for Children and Youth which enrich their life experiences and allow for daily comforts and security normally afforded to most families and projects which have a focus on women’s health. The GCBF distributes funds to the not-for-profit community and is just one way the Queensland Government returns taxes received from gambling activities. In redistributing gambling taxes through its grants program, the GCBF plays an important role in ensuring, on balance, the whole State can benefit from gambling. As a beneficiary of this fund, The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation has progressed some of The Prince Charles Hospital’s most important heart research such as the BiVACOR™ artificial heart and nutritional protocols to reverse heart disease.
The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation is delighted to welcome our new partner for 2010-11, The Collier Charitable Fund. The fund was established as a bequest by sisters Annette, Alice and Edith Collier, the daughters of Mr Jenkin Collier, a grazier and contractor who migrated to Victoria from Wales in 1852. Since establishment the fund has distributed over $57,372,000 and its kind support is enabling The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation to progress important work in the area of cystic fibrosis, the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Caucasians.

Thanks to the Rebecca L Cooper Medical Research Foundation, The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation is undertaking vital research into understanding COPD, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a life-threatening condition which affects one in five Queenslanders over 40 years old.

Through the Volunteer Day Program, Suncorp staff volunteer at the strawberry sundae stands at the Ekka. Each year, around 200 - 300 Suncorp staff choose The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation as their volunteer charity, helping us for our biggest annual fundraising event.
