The Breeze Café
The Breeze Café provides high quality food and coffee for staff, patients and visitors to The Prince Charles Hospital. The café supports the Foundation's administrative costs to allow donations to be spent on medical research.
The café has around 25 staff, including a general manager, two dedicated catering staff, four qualified chefs, and a mix of full time, part time and casual serving staff.
Using Queensland Health’s A Better Choice program, the café offers a variety of healthy food options for staff, visitors and patients in the hospital. Food and drinks are classified with red, orange and green labels to help customers make informed choices about healthy eating. Less than 20% of the food and drinks are 'red' items.
The café provides training for apprentice chefs and staff, making quality food and service the highest priorities.
The café has a sandwich bar, salad bar, hot food section and varied menu which includes made to order pizzas and burgers, curries, stir fries, roasts and grilled fish. A small selection of snack foods are available, and the café also sells magazines and gifts.

The Breeze Café can cater for morning and afternoon tea, brunch or lunch. Delivery is available to some areas between 7.30am and 4pm.
With a selection of petit-fours, cakes, sandwiches, hot food and salads, the café can provide quality food for meetings, conferences, workshops and small events.
